Italia Motori, the Sydney-based Ferrari and Maserati dealership, recently hosted a Ferrari track day at Eastern Creek Raceway.
The purpose of the day was to provide Ferrari owners the opportunity to experience their vehicles in the way they were intended.
Luke O’Neill and his team from Events O’Neill ran the day, providing expert tuition for everyone, regardless of their level of experience. Luke is best known for organising the Burrows Drive Days, which are renowned for their professionalism, and the Italia Motori event was no exception. Instructors were on hand as either passengers or drivers, both on the track and the skidpan.
The day was one of huge variety, with all age groups, skill levels, and vehicle types represented. Mostly late model sports cars and grand tourers were represented (360, 430, 575, 599, 612), with the exception of the awe inspiring F40. There were many first-timers, as well as those more accustomed to time on the track, including race legend Spencer Martin.
