Sweden was never a country I had any desire to visit… too cold, too far, no major attractions.
A trip to the Koenigsegg factory with the team from caradvice.com.au made me realise how wrong I was! Absolutely the automotive highlight of my life so far!

Continual 0-300kmh accelerations in a 800+hp car on a 1.8km runway, a few twisties and then the public roads around the factory. I couldn’t ask for any more.

The car blew me away, especially the visible carbon fibre body work which apparently takes twice as long to prepare than a car which will be painted. The pattern is absolutely perfect!

Twin supercharged V8 that makes an unholy sound and piles on speed like nothing I’ve felt before! With only 70-odd in the world at this time it truly is something special.

Posing with a South African RHD customers CCXR (1018hp)

Doing an indicated 270kmh in this photo, hard to believe when just seconds earlier I was putting my seat belt on…

You know a car means business when the speedo reads to 420kmh

The man behind it all, Christian von Koenigsegg, who we had the pleasure to speak with.

Factory tour was eye opening too, the time and effort that goes into these cars is amazing and makes you realise where the $2M goes when you buy one
