Discussion in the Classic Adelaide forums.
One of the good things about insuring with Shannons is that they covered the car if used in the non-competitive sections of CA. No longer. Now Racing cover has to be applied for – don’t know what this costs yet.

Sadly, Shannons are no longer insuring cars in Classic Adelaide’s Thoroughbred Touring (non-competitive but 130km/h allowed) category under existing comprehensive policies. They offered me only $20K insurance cover for the event under their racing policy with a $2700 excess. No third party property so if you hit another car or something else expensive, this isn’t covered either.
