When the Italian police unveiled their state-of-the-art Lamborghini patrol cars, they cannot have been short of volunteers itching to take the supercars in pursuit of speeding criminals.
A team of elite drivers was trained to chase down speeding motorists and deliver urgently-needed transplant organs in the futuristic vehicles, capable of reaching more than 200mph.
What they apparently were not prepared for was a distracted motorist who pulled out of a petrol station without looking.
Today, a bandaged and bruised police driver may have had a tough time explaining how he managed to write off one of the force’s prized Lamborghinis when he rammed it so hard into a line of parked cars that one of the stationary vehicles ended up on the police car’s roof.

Some photos from Monday. Despite 9hrs with the car to ourselves it wasn’t great for photos as we had to shoot in the middle of a very sunny day. I did my best to combat it though and tried a couple of new things.

Aston Martin have just released two new pieces of rolling art loaded with V12 warheads, and two of the first in Australia are now on their promo tour around the country to get bums in seats.
Solitaire Automotive are the Adelaide dealers, and invited us on an Aston Martin drive event to properly experience the new models, and have a play with the existing line-up.
We turned up around 9:30am to be greeted by Louise, Nigel, and four beasts of Britain.

The Supercar Club needed a car relocated to Adelaide on the big AFL Grand Final day, everyone else in Oz was at a bbq to watch a bunch of blokes dressed in pretty colours run around a meadow trying to hug each other, so I got stuck with the job.
Lucky it’s not too ugly.

We have had some amazing cars at the Burrows Days over the years, but I really think the September event took the cake. Two cars in particular drew the attention of all in pit lane – one is the most outrageously styled cars of our time, whilst the other marked an era in racing where only brave men dare tread!

The Maserati GranCabrio, the first four-seater convertible in the Trident carmaker’s history, will make its world wide debut on September 15 at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show.
The introduction of the GranCabrio – the Trident’s third prong – completes Maserati’s product line-up that now consists of three different families of models: Quattroporte, GranTurismo, GranCabrio.
Lana Jones Magazine will be producing a 2010 Glam Cars calendar featuring hot girls and exotic cars as a fundraiser for their chosen charity.
