Discussion in the Ferrari tosser’s forums.
By Mark Bedford of Beddy’s Blog.
Following on from my friend Rob’s report from the Lamborghini Superleggera last week, here’s my impressions of the new Ferrari California – the café cruiser Ferrari built for poodle-carrying and Hollywood boulevard cruising.
Brenden and I picked up the car from P1’s showroom in Mosman and made a snaking manoeuvre through some the best roads we could find towards the south.
This car’s so new everyone wants to stare at the thing and in typical Fezza colours of Red and Tan interior it had wanker mobile to the max written all over it. It seemed fitting for the situation, there was only one thing to do, and that was to act like the biggest Ferrari owning tossers you could.

The Supercar Club needed a car relocated to Adelaide on the big AFL Grand Final day, everyone else in Oz was at a bbq to watch a bunch of blokes dressed in pretty colours run around a meadow trying to hug each other, so I got stuck with the job.
Lucky it’s not too ugly.

Discussion in the Australian Porsche Panamera forums.
STEVE COLQUHOUN gets behind the wheel of the all-new four-door Porsche.
“A four-door Porsche? Mate, that’s fully sick!” And with these sagely-opined words ringing in our ears, we kicked off a circuit of the continent in – as our observant friend so poignantly noted – a four-door tourer based on the legendary Porsche 911.
Okay, so they’re not the exact words we’d choose to describe Porsche’s newest model, called the Panamera. But they’re not that far off the mark, either.

First Test: 2010 Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce
Beyond Spinal Tap: Lamborghini Cranks its Big-Daddy Supercar All the Way to 12
Quick! Grab your DVD of Steve McQueen’s epic film, “Le Mans.” Fast forward to the bit near the end where McQueen’s Gulf Porsche 917 is chasing down the No. 8 Ferrari 512, and crank up the volume. There! That shot where the No. 8 Ferrari passes the stricken No. 5 car on the last lap. Listen… That’s exactly what the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce sounds like at 7000 rpm in fourth gear.

Discussion in the stupidly mental car forums.
By Jan Glovac from OzCarSightings.com.
Photos from the two days I spent with the Wiesmann GT MF5 in Germany with the team from www.caradvice.com.au – basically a light weight old school US style body with BMW M5 running gear (5L V10, 500hp, 7speed ‘box).

So one evening last week whilst enjoying a steak with some mates at Gauchos on Gouger I get a text from James from the Supercar Club saying he needs a car transported sometime in the next couple days, and given:
- it’s a long weekend
- everyone else has family stuff to do
- I’m inherently unlovable
- nobody would care if I disappeared without warning
…it seems I was an obvious choice for the task.
The best part of the news – the car which needed to be transported is one of my top 5 dream cars, way above Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the Mach 5, probably almost on par with the Batmobile…
Allow me to present the Lotus Exige S.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder review
Awesome is an over-used word, but it’s the only way to describe the latest drop-top to emerge from Sant’ Agata.
It’s 100 years since Tenerife’s Mount Teide last blew its lid and, looking at the weird streams of solidified lava clinging to its sides, I’m reminded that when it comes to extreme power, Mother Nature still writes the rulebook.
The vistas unfolding through the windscreen are jaw-dropping in their majesty yet squeezing the throttle of Lamborghini’s latest offering – the snappily monikered Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder – I’m also reminded that when it comes to extreme power on four wheels, the boys from Sant’ Agata reign supreme.

The effect of the Gallardo on other road users is mesmerising.
Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder
Where other high performance cars tend to make many aggro, a Lambo turns them meek and mild, yielding out of their lane or giving way at cross roads as the sleek Italian supercar burbles by. If only they really knew what it is like to drive a car like the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, they would totally lose it.
We have and we nearly did.
It’s everything you might imagine and more.
