Discussion in the Ferrari tosser’s forums.
By Mark Bedford of Beddy’s Blog.
Following on from my friend Rob’s report from the Lamborghini Superleggera last week, here’s my impressions of the new Ferrari California – the cafĂ© cruiser Ferrari built for poodle-carrying and Hollywood boulevard cruising.
Brenden and I picked up the car from P1’s showroom in Mosman and made a snaking manoeuvre through some the best roads we could find towards the south.
This car’s so new everyone wants to stare at the thing and in typical Fezza colours of Red and Tan interior it had wanker mobile to the max written all over it. It seemed fitting for the situation, there was only one thing to do, and that was to act like the biggest Ferrari owning tossers you could.

We have had some amazing cars at the Burrows Days over the years, but I really think the September event took the cake. Two cars in particular drew the attention of all in pit lane – one is the most outrageously styled cars of our time, whilst the other marked an era in racing where only brave men dare tread!

Another fine day had by all. Ok, well most anyway… the Viper sprang a minor oil leak after my first session in it, an Aston Martin’s clutch let go, and the day ended with someone putting a car into a wall… so it probably could have been a little better from some perpectives!
Please check the thread in the Australian Ferrari discussion forums for the latest information or if you have some info, thanks.

So one evening last week whilst enjoying a steak with some mates at Gauchos on Gouger I get a text from James from the Supercar Club saying he needs a car transported sometime in the next couple days, and given:
- it’s a long weekend
- everyone else has family stuff to do
- I’m inherently unlovable
- nobody would care if I disappeared without warning
…it seems I was an obvious choice for the task.
The best part of the news – the car which needed to be transported is one of my top 5 dream cars, way above Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the Mach 5, probably almost on par with the Batmobile…
Allow me to present the Lotus Exige S.

A BMW owner filled his convertible with lemons and parked it out the front of a Sylvania dealership from 5am this morning.
The car caused chaos on the Princes Highway as commuters slowed to a standstill to watch the spectacle.
Bryan Wiseman, of Sylvania, said his luxury purchase was plagued with mechanical and electrical faults from the time he bought it new, two years ago.
