I wonder if he had the "switch" that many of the Aston dealers will install that allows you to do the old Fuse 22 trick but having the option to have either (usual situation where exhaust opens up above 4000-5000rpm or having it open all the time).

If he had the switch on when caught then just switching it off when tested may be enough - if he has a fuse pulled (it may be a different number in the V12V) then just pop it back in.

The XKR is similar - much louder in Dynamic mode and it wouldn't surprise me if a cop had a go at me if I floored it with that on.

I wonder if the people testing know enough about these cars to try these various configurations....I doubt it.   If in doubt I suppose just use the Wattens method.

Anyone know anything about his car for sale?  I am presuming it is the damaged one from a year or two ago that went through Manheims.  The selller hasn't quoted the VIN to double check, but the partial display of the VIN in the service books suggests it might be.

The VIN number comes up with a different rego now.

The dealer description states "as new" and "brilliant order" lol

If the car is in a accident like that does it come on carfacts report?
