I had my car in for a service today & was quite happy to receive a black 2010 535i as a loan car for the day. I didn't do too much driving, as I was in the office most of the day but the driving I did do, I thoroughly enjoyed!
The only couple of slight complaints I had with it was mainly with the gearbox hesitating in traffic & the first 3 gears when up changing were quite jerky.
The twitchiness of the car when taking a corner at a higher speed than normal was a bit weird as I thought it would be very stable......but other than that, the ride was very nice. Great power from the 3.5T but took a little to get going from a standing start......that's when the gearbox did impress though when pushed.
Very plush & roomy interior as well.

Would love to take the new M5 for a spin when it is released though.......would be a great all round family rocketship!

Just my thought for the day.... ;)

They're giving those cars out as loaners to try to sell them I guess.

Do you still need to hit the I-drive button to clear the disclaimer screen every time you start the car?

Warning: trying to figure out how to use this knob will distract you until you get into an accident and die, even if you design computer systems for a living and can generally work anything you sit in front of

They've lost me then. I hated that so much with my M5. I don't mind it to access nav (as Porsche and Ferrari require) but for the radio?

It is becoming "nearly" second nature to press it as soon as I start it & I do get a little frustrated with it now & then when I forget but it wouldn't stop me buying another Beemer though :)

Yes, nor do UK and German variants. It isn't required by ADR's either.
