Just read some stats which showed an M3 CSL can lap the Nurburgring faster than the 996 Turbo.... :scratchchin:

scott found his to be many seconds a lap slower in his CSL than he was in his 355ch or 360M....he blames not being used to front engined cars at least partially....and remember ALL tests of CSLs are done with "R" tyres....that's worth 2-4 seconds on a normal track, and god knows what at the 'ring

I love my car. Buy your own

I'm thinking of doing the Porsche driver training in QLD soon. That way I can spend a good amount of track time in that car...mid engine is the way to go from the sounds of it...enough of these front engine family saloons  :D

Need to get rid of the wife quicker... :scratchchin: :D

Then M5 is a fantastic option for a daily driver that can handle you + wife + kids which can also provide a great deal of fun at the track in.

well, the 550i is gone now. I upgraded to the M5. Check out the M5 performance data at Mallala race track: http://aussieexotics.com/forum/events-and-racing/mallala-25408-t1494.0.html;msg20194;topicseen#msg20194

ahhhhh! nice to have met ya :D

hope to see you on the track someday. don't listen to the naysayers re the car not suitable for the track...it's fine, durable and a lot of fun on the track.

send me a PM if you want more info on the changes I've made to my car for the track.
