You're partly right...but never completely, I've noticed. HOWEVER, check out the specs on both cars and even you'd agree the i8 is never going to sell well.

I'm no big fan of the i8, hyper exotics are almost passé these days, the one constant I've noticed is that the new 911 is still the real head turner a quality machine with finesse and integrity.

I'm always right , your judgement is a little askew.

My vision for Tesla is when they produce a mass market car, say $50k plus and have agreements is place with the servos so that you can pull in and recharge or change a battery in the time it takes to fill up.

When the agreements are in place with Caltex, Shell and BP THEN it will not only take off ...but take over....., no more oil no more pollution.

There's no need for a charging network in the city when you start every day with a full "tank". Superchargers are needed on the highway, and we are getting them progressively. Tesla don't need huge market share to succeed. They are a luxury car maker.

They could change the world with that technology , if they don't someone else will.

I think people will still want to be able to pull into a servo for a battery or charge, people being what they are will always neglect to charge up fully.

The petroleum industry will want to be in on this anyway to replace lost revenue so using their existing servos makes sense.

With no due respect, you just don't get it.

There are a tonne of these in Brisbane, well I've seen about 8 different ones, see them on a regular basis. Look amazing.

However I want the one with the m5 motor dropped in it that I saw on the net this week...

And the Tesla is plain Jane, spent all the money on technology and got Russia to design it.

I was wrong, saw a white one today, stunning looking machine
