I'm just not comfortable driving a manual in the Porsche. My knee always grazes the steering wheel when I use the clutch and it does leave my left leg tired due to the weird position I have to place my leg as the space is tight. I can still drive it, but I don't think I'd drive it fast, especially not on the road as my confidence won't be high for a while.

I also considered the comfort that i'd still want for the weekend drives, or the journey to Tassie or just as a daily driver.

I can still track the Turbo though it'll probably be 3 secs slower than a GT3 at Mallala.. I can live with that.

Therefore, the GT3 just didnt get considered any further.

Just came back with a final test drive of the Turbo through the hills.. oh my god..    :mischief:

Great pics, Dave

Looking at your photos makes me miss mine too. Even though it has been 18-months or so since I sold mine, I still look occasionally whether there is any "cheap" ones for sale to tempt me.

Hey Aemel, I just found this thread.......if you have made the decision, then CONGRATS with the Turbo........you will love it once you make the transition from big fat car to little fat car! The 997 Turbo is still a heavy little jigger but golly gosh, doesn't it get along!

Great to have you as a fellow Turbo proprietor

pssstt.................want some stripes?

So the M5 will be put up for sale next week. Picked up the Porsche today and it's been nothing short of amazing.

The M5 has been great to me. Reliability, handling, thrill, comfort and power.... truly a king in its category.. the Porsche Turbo is in a league that is so different though.. am loving it  :D
