Having had the X5M for a week and done 300klms... yep thats it so far.

I've scared myself twice....

WHOLLY brembo's batman.... what mid range punch.....

It has sent the traction control nits in 2nd and 3rd.... Hits it like a wall... much nicer in MDM...

Freeway cruising is effortless..... over taking is too easy, just a slight prod and off it goes.

This motor in the M5 will be amazing....  Plus I think they want to get a bot more out of it.. like a clean 600hp for the M5....

I will give this one to wife and buy the new M5 when it come out.... (she likes the gadgets in it).

The X6 is positioned as a sportier car all round than the boxier X5 so it probably makes sense to give it an M version in our market.  Also, why take on the Cayenne TT and the ML63 when they have the X6 segment all to themselves.

BTW, am I the only one that things the X5M looks too tame?

Good article, If It want a fast 5 seater I've got the M5, Fast 2 seater LP640...But if I want a great family wagon I've got the X5 4.8sport (wifes), Now If I want a great daily driver that I can take customers in, go to the hardware tow a mountain I've got the X5M...  Plus it will make a great cruiser for holidays with the family.

It is not a sports car, it is a sports truck/SUV.

It has great road manners, great power, easy to drive. Great family wagon...
Plus goes like stink and will wipe the smile from many a sports car/sedan....

Plus, sliding it around in the wet is just way too much fun....
