Did I ever tell you about my old XC that did 1,000,000 Kms!     :D

Probably did more than that. And yes it was a Taxis literally.

In the time I had it, the only thing I had to do to it was service it  and I replaced an Alternator and a Gas converter.

Oh, and a few sets of tyres........

I had a rodeo that did 750k didnt need anything changed besides your basics

Cayenne Turbo built 03, delivered Aus 05, 95000k, still solid. However - I still renew the Porsche extended warranty every year...just in case!

You never hear any bad press about Porsche build quality and reliability though

Edit: Just had a quick look on carsales and there are a heap of Cayenes over 200 000km, pretty good for a big heavy petrol SUV
You can say I'm wrong, but my garage doesn't agree with that statement!!!

I agree - Porsches are build very well! The last good quality BMWs IMHO ended with the E39 5 series!

Didn't a member here in the last year also have an X5 that blew a Diff in 30 000km or something like that???

They surely aren't built like they were 20 years ago.

The diff was one of the things replaced in my X5M, don't remember the mileage at the time. It's also had full set of wheels and tyres, rear drive shafts, tail shaft, all air shocks, steering rack and a bunch of other stuff that I can't recall off the top of my head. At one point the hard disc for the sound system had a brain fart and removed the titles of the 200 albums I had loaded on. Kept the track names; but mixed the order on the album randomly. A real PITA as I listen to almost 2hrs of music a day in my daily commute to work and back.
Goober also had the gearbox on his ML55 AMG thingo replaced under warranty.

Wasn't Land Rover rated the most unreliable car last year or the year before?
