Are you running semi slicks or the stock conti/psports?

Tischer BMW (www.getbmwparts.com) are now shipping internationally too if you need stock parts like brake discs.

I was on Conti but they've since worn out. Now on Yokohama's Advan Sport. Have been told they have a stronger side wall compared to Conti and a lot cheaper too (ie. $950/tyre vs $630).

Thanks for the lead to Tischer, I'll check it out.

While I understand those who recommend a Porsche or another more sporty car for trackwork, I can also understand leburpor's enthusiasm for mild fettling of the M5. Part of the car's appeal is its unlikely performance given its sedan appearance and and GT credentials.

Everyone expects a Porsche (or Evo) to be a track demon but even a slowcoach like me can see that there would be fun in beating one in what looks just like a luxury sedan.

Actually, I'd like leburpor to mod the hell out of the thing so I can get some vicarious thrills from the project.  Please start with an exhaust! :p

I'm still in discussions with evosport in the US for their muffler unit which is listed at US$1945. Waiting for some air and sea freight prices and hoping evosport will give additional discount for extra set purchase. Would you consider doing it this late in the life of yer M5, MHH? If M500 does it then we'll have 3 sets.

Well, I've done sillier things.   But I'm more likely to see hear what it sounds like on your car first.

I've always like the Evosport Exhaust on the E60

* this also has performance headers and highflow cat *

How much of the sound in the vid is coming from the headers and the highflow cat I wonder...

It sounds damn good but maybe TOO loud?   :D

that's one of the questions i've asked evosport. but being sales guys, i can probably anticipate their answer  they wouldn't even tell me what the dB level is, claiming they don't have the info
