Mallala doesn't do it for me either, for me it's the repetitiveness, i love hillclimbing atm, a 35sec pure adrenalin rush compared to 10mins driving around in circles

thats why there's different forms of motor racing however we have chattered about this before having only max 2mins of track time (hill climb) in a whole day does'nt to it for me either

where as mt gambier was different 8mins in two days

thats fair however ive spun out on Hutt street but never at Mallala and its heaps safer spining at a race track than just about anywhere.

its not about spining its about getting it right, golfs the same get a swing right and it gives you the reason to keep hitting that bloody ball again and again until that feeling comes back to you

I enjoy Mallala for several reasons:
1. I get the opportunity to push the car hard without have to worry about fines, jail or hurting someone else
2. Through mistakes I learn more about the handling of the car
3. I am learning more about my car and my driving skills as I get closer to the limits of my ability or the cars
4. Due to the private nature of the day, there is no long waiting, no pressure to drive fast...you just do your own thing
5. Having an instructor on the day taught me how to drive better (ie. be smooth, focus on balance etc etc)
6. It's a nice day out with a bunch of friendly people who love to talk about cars

#2, 3 and 5 have helped me enjoy my open road spirited driving even more, and make me more conservative and cautious.

I like Mallala it is a good place to test your track skills. My PB on two wheels is 1:14.3 and 1:19.0 with Mrs Race on the back, good fun and free from cops.

Tracking with a pillion - not sure if that's brave or crazy.  :D

it's far safer than being on the road with a pillion

Me -  I wont do either, I ride alone as tempting as it is to have my chick on the back.  I don't want the responsibility.

I took an ex on a couple of laps of Phillip Island. I dont know if she enjoyed it, she said she had her eyes closed the entire time.  :mischief:
