The C63 Estate is a better looking car.

What took them so long?

Agreed we loved our C63 wagon & seriously looked at the RS6 before that, always surprised me BMW M didn't do touring/estate/wagon, probably would have done one of those before choosing C63.

I agree I was always a BMW man for many years, but I haven't had one for quite a few years now & have loved both new MB's & Audis. MB have seriously lifted their game over the last 5 years or so, IMO their offering is better now than BMW, they cater for all tastes be it young, sporty or grand dads

Better than what?  They haven't made the M Touring yet.

I can't disagree. I sold my M5 and kept the E63 Wagon. The AMG range is pretty impressive.

I reckon it'll be a big seller in Europe, but in Australia I'm not so sure. Still, not a bad alternative if the other offerings aren't to your liking.

If I may ask, were there reasons why you sold the M5 and not the E63? Is the E63 a better car all-round?

Yes, the M5 is a great car for high speed country driving but not as pleasant in the city. The E63 sounds better, and is a nicer all round drive.

I'm disappointed the Touring rumour turns out not to be true. I drove an M4 very briefly yesterday and liked it.
