There is a switchable exhaust on the market for M5 IIRC - a quiet as stock or as loud as a Tubi with the flick of  a switch.  Not cheap though. Name is something like Kreissieg.  The M5 board has more info.

Thanks for the lead, Mark. Here's a vid for it for reference:

Not too sure about the F1 type sound though. Seems too high pitch for a monster sedan  :scratchchin:

I just played the various exhaut sounds to my kids and they both unanimouly voted for the Kreis-sieg  :D time to check pricing... Mark, group buy???  :mischief:

*update*
Based on pricing from www.kreissieg.com it costs around AU$8,200 + $400 (import duty) + $400 (freight) + $1,500 (install) = $10,500. This is about $3,000 more than the exhaust I got quoted on for my previous 550i..can't recall the brand name.

I should have bought this earlier - I'm nearer the end of my time with the car than the beginning like you.  Maybe I should buy it now and sell it to you at a heavy discount after a year (or after I get sick of it, whichever comes first)?

I agree, that Evosport system sounds amazing.

Cost is about $12000 USD shipped.
