Got the boot back this morning at 6am, just in time for todays stint at Mallala

Played pilot in the lotus cup, amazing machine!!!

Best I could go today was 1:23.5, car was roasting in the heat as it was 37 track temp according to my car. It did it pretty easy but at the end of the day I nearly put the car in the wall at turn 2, wouldn't have been a 10mm between the front bar and the wall, lucky.

Looks good mate! I would of thought that a 1.23.5 isn't too bad for a warmish day!
God damn walls are always in the way of where you (or the car) want to go

I did 1:22.6 last time I was out with stock suspension etc.

This time around I had the coilovers, about 20kg less weight in the car, better brake fluid, ferodo DS3000 pads, more knowledge about tyre pressures, etc etc and I run a second slower. Will go out again during winter with some fresh rubber and see what she does

Ive seen some close calls at Mallala, it does happen! I still remember watching an M3 bury it self well and truly into the hairpin before the esses... was in good and proper!

Who's day was it out there today? (If you dont mind me asking!)

A couple of Porsche guys were making sure their cars were good for Clipsal. Was excellent (as always when they invite us) as there are times when I am the only car on the track for a good hour.

Ah cool, those days are excellent, boring for guys like me, but excellent for drivers! Give me the heads up next time we'll get some action shots of the M3's having fun
