I just took delivery of an X635D Sport for the wife to drive my 2 1/2 year old to the shops and back in.

My first impressions are good, although it is no race car. Very nice finish and appointments. great tight driving feel and most importantly it "feels" safe for my young family.

Ill try to post some pics if anyone is interested.

Congrats.  Pity it's not "safe" for anyone else  :p

Thanks mate

If interesting that my car feature priorities have changed somewhat now that I have a family and safety has become paramount to me whereas before all I ws interested in was how it looked, handles and how fast does it go.

Why the X6 over the X5 ?

With Kids... We find the X5 has more storage, more room for outlaws.... etc.

We have 2 X5's ..... Dont ask.....
I'm still not sure why....

With one child at this stage the X6 has plenty of room for us. As for the outlaws... they can make their own way around

I really liked the X5 and I would have considered a secondhand V8 rather than the X6 35D for similar money but in the end the X6 won me over on its (arguably) better look and the idea of having a new car with full warranty, etc.

Have you had a chance to take any decent pics of our X5M?

I think I need to get Shane involved to take the pic's... and to help get the cars around..

Have too many..... and its a pain....
Ever filled up 4 cars in one day ?,   Average fuel comsumption of them is about 22liters per 100klms.

Need a good day of the weekend to clean them and organise the shoot together as its a awsome little garage...

Good add for BMW as well...

Sounds like a REAL propblem (certainly one I would like!)
My average fuel consuption is around the same; my 500hp 6.0l ute runs around 35l/100  :mischief: and the X6 Diesel  is around 12l/100

The new Fiesta turbo diesel makes a mockery of a Toyota Poo Pirate...

~3.2l/100km without the over hyped ugly heavyweight hybrid crap.

oh, and it's about 40% cheaper than Poo Pirate too.
