I tried that with my first 997 some years ago but it bent out of shape very quickly.
As a short term solution I once put some rolled up carpet between the drive and the road. Very classy!
I've also done the bit of wood thing but be careful it doesnt flip up. I damaged some body work doing this.
A metal workshop can do a proper sheet and mold to dimensions of drive.

I didn't have any trouble with mine but it was a bloody thick piece of checker plate..........

Mine was a daily driver, so I used axle lift all the time, couldn't own a car without it.  Porsche don't have a retrofit kit as such, but I have heard of people doing it.  Did PCM quote you a price Aaron?, I expect it would be well over $10K.

Not Yet.

I will find out on Monday.
May the Horse be with you....

I think the pump alone is close to $10k.  There was a second hand one on eBay in the US for something like $4k from memory.

Aaron, talk to PR Technology in Brookvale in Sydney. They do a retro fit lift for the GT3 and RS.

Hard work to drive compared to my automatic GT3. Very loud due to missing mufflers but great sound, better steering than 991, rides better than I expected, torquier but less top end than my car, less flywheel weight demands precise gearshifting. The car needs a decent scrub but is an outstanding buy.

I had a manual Carrera S for 3 years and it was nice to change gears again.
