The clearshield guys who did the lambo have something similar they are bringing in. They are keen to trial it on a few cars.

Hopefully better than the old 3M product that was average for protection but a nightmare if you left it on longer than a few months as it'd turn to cement and be a total b@stard to get off without damaging paint.

They claim 5 years with no damage. I'm blown away by the 991.

I am very interested to see how this turns out in practice. If done properly I don't think it will end up being much cheaper than the current film jobs.

In the US I bet they would have a bunch of illegal Mexicans at $5 an hour doing the application to do it that cheaply.
If you think about the labour involved in masking the car up properly anddisassembling some parts, I can't see it being cheaper than a cut and wrap job.
