Hey,

I'm currently looking at buying a new used car for around $30,000.  I want something with power but also looks good.
I'm currently on my P plates so my cars are limited.

I was looking at either Honda S2000 or Mazda RX-8.
Any suggestions would be great, just say which car you recommend and why.
I would do the research myself however i don't have much time at the moment.

Thanks.

Buy a Hyundai Getz, and keep $20k in your pocket. I've got one. They're great.

Also, it means you can get some driving experience for a few more years, which is why we have the P plate system....

then, when you are a more competent  and experienced driver, you can broaden your options.

Or a toaster/fridge/washing machine.  They are also great.

I'll have you know my little Getz is a real little pocket rocket with just a few small mods...... (OZ wheels, lower/stiffer springs and some extra neggie camber on the front)

Carl 888 LOVES it!

would you prefer this P plater to be running around in a sports car, while your family are walking on pavements he may drive near?

I take your point but I'm more concerned about sentencing the poor kid to life in a Getz.  :p

I guarantee that if we car swapped and drove around Melbourne for 2 hours, you'd have fun AND feel fresher!

MHH, it would take you 2 hours to drive around Melbourne and FF would be enjoying your pride and joy. Sounds like a fair swap.
