Where would be the best place to look?

I don't know of any 308s for sale, personally, and I don't follow Porsches to be honest, so if he has no contacts, carsales and lots of homework are the only alternatives.

I love my car. Buy your own

and drive a few he may hate them.

85k can buy a lot of a car in modern terms .

like a little A45 or a 10 year old Bentley Continental.

yeah he will. He really likes the older cars (has a Mk11 E Type (locally delivered) which is beautiful), and not interested in modern stuff.

fair enough.

I'd stick with the E-type in todays world ....more friendly to ride in on the open highway then the other 2.

Aircon, he is probably a sub $100k buyer. Looking for something to take out on the weekends and something that at least wont drop in value.

I really don't know this market hence deferring to those who do

Early 308's are currently stupid money, so I would suggest a 308 GTS QV. Trouble would be finding a good one.
I don't think any carby 308 GTB or GTS worth owning would be sub $100k now.

What gearbox have you got? I've got the original 4 Which is too highly geared for highway but beautiful for blasts through the hills.

He will keep it but wants to add a car.
