For sure. It is more sensible but the SV is more Lambo.

Price is a funny one, it is influenced by taxes, desirability, availability, etc. you aren't necessarily getting a lot less or a lot more for your money, performance and otherwise, price is a marketing tool, product differentiator, I am willing to bet Lambo's per unit revenue is greater on the Aventador.

Personally I dislike buying the V12s because of their size and where and how I like to drive my cars, last week a QR a Huracan put a car length on a Aventador on the straight, the Huracan is a lot nimbler and lighter on its foot, lots of fun I must say, having said that there is nothing as dramatic as a big V12 Lambo and I love them for what their are.

VI is WAY better, actually.  I was disappointed when I saw this. But hey, colour is personal.

VI has more depth with greater pearl effect. In the Las Vegas sunshine, this green looked cheap and sickly. Some love it I'm sure. I'd never have a green car so I'm the wrong person to comment. :o

I remember reading a business article on Porsche from back in the days when it was trying to buy VW. It was said to be the most profitable car manufacturer on the planet in terms of net profit per car manufactured. In the article it talked about profitability across the model range. Apparently it costs Porsche something like $10k more to make the most expensive 911 in the range vs the cheapest. There is of course a multi 6 figure increase in price at retail and I imagine a proportional increase at wholesale to dealers.
This applies to varying degrees across all manufacturers, including Ferrari and Lamborghini. Ferrari have based the easily sold V8 allocation on the number of V12 sales for decades.

I reckon the manufacturer with the highest % gross margin today per unit might just be Tesla. There is nothing in them compared to a traditional internal combustion engined vehicle. The price however is right up there with the traditional leaders in its class, Mercedes, BMW etc

Yes, no surprises there.

With Tesla I was referring to gross margin rather than net profit.  Tesla has far too much on the expense side as an immature manufacturer for it to translate to bottom line net profit at this stage.
