oh, err, cool! Thanks.

Have you ever heard of or even used Prahran Air conditioning?

Anyway, Hychill... So, if it "dries" out the "valves", what does it do to the desiccant in a receiver / dryer?

oh yeah...thanks...here they are....

I use a flushing agent which is fantastic for removing all traces of moisture. It again is highly flammable and smells like thinners, but we use it with nitrogen and a flushing gun and it works a treat. Definatly need to replace filter/receiver every 5-7 years, but it does seem that the system you are working on had a leak and they kept the air con on which kept sucking in moisture. Compressor will go soon too.....just saying

Yeah, I got it all covered thanks.

No leaks, though, pulled vac easy and quick. Just really old and neglected.

Interesting.

If it IS. Hychill, who here will change their tune regarding its' safety and use?

Not me.

Sensationalist journalism and biased as well. Just another advertisement IMO.

I wonder what, if anything, ignited it.

That system still working fine so far, still too early to say it's fine though.

Interesting and relevant to discussion

Most likely surely the fan motor itself, but also possibly ..

Cigarette lighter?
Relay?
Switch?
Interior (or any) lamp bulb failure?
Smoker?
Static shock from clothing?
Mosquito bite zapper?
