I posted this '90s supercars photo on instagram with a vote and the Lotus was ahead by far in desirability. I thought the Lambo would have won.

That Esprit shape was sooo desirable.  I will get an old V8 again one day when I can be bothered to look after it and fix everything that was fucked ... I reckon a 1998 was the perfect look ... but with a 1996/97 rear wing.

I thought the Ferrari might have...but there's so much negativity against 348s it was probably too much to expect.

I certainly wouldn't have picked the Lotus though.

I still don't understand why the 348 is not preferred by the Ferrari fraternity, is because it looks like a baby TR?

It certainly drives better than the TR. Very chuckable car, sublime brakes, just slow.

I think the fins on the side and rear are just too busy to be considered a clean design which may be part of the reason people don't like them.

and in comparison to a 328 it would have to be quicker albeit slower than a 355

take away the fins and it resembles a 355 and a 355 is much loved....you might have a good point there looney
