Seems there is a trick that has been around a few years where they use a relay hack to to extend the range of your keyless entry fob so the car would unlock. So you (and your keyless fob/spare fob) could be in your house/office with the car outside and someone could be in your taking stuff from your car (or start up your car and drive off if you have keyless start).

A mate in the UK recently had it done to him (car unlocked and ransacked for contents).
There seems to also be another hack for keyless entry where they can capture the codes your fob sends when locking your car. Then use that same code to unlock the car when you have left and take anything they want out of it. For tradies with a heap of expensive tools in their vans, this may not good news.

I had not heard about it before. Wondered if anyone else has heard of this, had it done to them or actively doing anything to try and mitigate these issues.

A quick google found this type of stuff:

Clublock anyone!  :hyper:
