I'm surprised it's taken so long for this to get noticed by the media ....

The Greens and Independents and every other anti capitalist bastard in the system including the entire front bench of the ALP won't change a thing except close the loophole.

Gouging those who achieve is a sport to them.

Hi guys can someone clear up something for me since the government doublespeak confuses me so..

Looking at importing a 1977 car that is over the LCT threshold, will I be required to pay a LCT for an import?

Cheers.

Nah nah its LEGAL so its ok just ask all the guys who use that excuse for minimizing their tax.
In the words of KERRY PACKER; "you would be stupid, not to want to pay LCT".... :worship: :hyper:

Not so pretty that excuse being on the other foot is it..

That said, its a stupid tax just like payroll tax and should have been axed with the introduction of the GST.

There were many taxes that were supposed to go with the introduction of the GST.  I remember vividly Stamp Duty was one of the main ones.  Never understood why Costello didn't push that.  He could've withheld payments to the states.
