Its the E400. Front end of the E and C is pretty much identical. Back end I actually think the E looks better than the new C.
Though the new C is slightly bigger than the old C63 so the C and E are getting close in size.

This shape has been around for years.

Good comparison. Most reviews seem to rate them fairly even. Each one has certain strong points but as the review shows not a significant difference between them down the straight or round a track.

Exactly, so it comes down to aesthetics, personal preference and what deal/savings are to be made one v the other.

I just hoped out of a Black Series, have had a E92 M3 so like to think I'm not too biased. In saying that I have driven neither so I'll just shut up now, cheers.

It still seems like the m3 is that little more refined / precise, yet even though the c63 is priced higher it seems to be more popular. I'm wondering if the complaints about the m3 not being engaging or exciting enough compared to the c63 has to do with the lack of sound and if the same people who are saying that had driven one with the m exhaust would have felt differently about it.
Test drives coming tomorrow so will let you guys know how it goes.

I think the M3 is a better looking car than the C63S..  The C63s looks like a kitted c250.
At least the M cars have nicely pumped guards.

C63 sound

M3 not so much

Hence the popularity of the C63

End of story.

Well W205 sound better than the old W204.
W204 sound cheap and harsh as the W205 a bit more refined with a deeper rumble.

This was my first impression when I first saw the C63 S on the road. Not denying they are an awesome machine, but they are a wolf in sheep's clothing... for some people that adds to their appeal.
