The best solution is MHH's keep the garage separate from the domestic situation.

I certainly wouldn't want my wife trying the negotiate out of a UG car park full of exotics nor judging me on those cars when in a bad mood, weekly, nor discovering cars I'd accidently bought without her consent.

I spoke the famous George when he had a GT3 for sale about a year ago.  Seemed a nice enough bloke. The carsales pics were taken in the garage.
