Hp4 is as bad as the Superleggara. Great track bike. not great as a road bike. BMW S1000 RR all the way for the road, its the GT3 of bikes.
Fair enough. I haven't had a chance to ride one yet.
I m quite happy with my R1 but thinking of upgrading to the 1198. What are your views?

Mv Agusta  - but I'm a fanboy

S100RR is a nice bike -  but it's aesthetics are quirky.

Whatever you like most and feel comfortable on. I like 1198's. The Beemer is such a great bike. I would never have ever bought a BMW until this model came out. I dont own one but Ive been doing some test rides and love them.

Did you try the old computer reset trick?  Stop and turn it all off for a minute than fire it up and see if it's fixed.

yep

each time I was presented with different problems

1st:  revs hanging at 6000RPM, wouldn't drop with throttle release
2nd: limp mode + malfunction code
3rd: limp mode + different malfunction code

Off to Peter Stevens this week to get them to sort it out.
