Hello all........great forum

After many years of driving crap around and sacrificing pleasure for investments,I've decided life is too short and am contemplating getting into the exotic sports car scene
The fastest thing I've owned would have to be a twin turbo 300zx with mods. Nice car but a bit sluggish.
I'm thinking in about 6 months time  spending about 50k on something temporary to hold me over for a couple of years until I can afford a ferrari/Lambo/Aston.
This will only be a weekender,something with great acceleration and handling,make and model is not important but reliability is.
I like the look of the Elise and it does fit into my price bracket but any and all recommendations are welcome as I do have at least 6 months to research and decide.

I did try a search before posting with no luck.
Forgot to mention in the first post that I have no interest whatsoever in our local Fords or Holdens( why o why does our local sports scene suck so bad compared to say the U.K?)

You'll find Holdens more interesting when you drive to the supermarket daily.

The sports car scene in the UK really seems exciting and things are so CHEAP

I was going to suggest a Masa 3200 but when you sited reliability as a requirement I thought maybe not, others may have a view on that.
