I don't want/need any more cars. I'm captive to the bloody things already.

Has a familiar ring to it as why you gave up the grog, you didn't want to be controlled by it.......so giving up cars because they now control you ?

What's left after that unless you want to explore the wild side under Mondi's instruction

These are what I have at home - they are rated to 2500kg IIRC - Chinese made but quality has been good and certainly more than adequate for home use.

If using for work - honestly dunno how these would stack up or if workcover approved but they are Aust Design approved and certified and have also got Electrical approval FWIW - you can get them in single or 3 phase - I opted for 3 phase.

IIRC around $3k each + installation costs - cheapest way to get storage. And they come with oil drip trays and magnetic catchment trays too. I've had mine dynabolted to the concrete but you have the option to have them on castors too included in price so you can move them around.
Forgiveness is easier to achieve than permission!

what is the size of the area?

have you worked out if hoists are going to solve the issue?
I would assume you would need about 4 4 post hoists along the back wall. Does that fit?

this leaves the undercover (mac park) free to leave the car you are moving from under the hoist to get the car on top.

Build a second floor / mezzanine that spans the entire floor space with a car lift to get up to it.
