Grrrrrr Article was joking about a twin turbo V6. Teach me to browse things rather than read in detail.

I know there are a lot of MX-5 lovers on the forum. I came across this article on the release of the new MX5.

New MX-5 is 100kg lighter than the old model with smaller body dimensions, engine mounted lower than any previous engine and 50:50 weight distribution. Not bad looking either. A baby California.

I really thought it had a twin turbo V6 when I first read it, that would be amazing. Even a decent V6 would be great but it looks like we are getting a 1.5 and 2.0 litre

Looks great, but yeah, engine packages are lame.  If I worked for Mazda I'd drop a V6 turbo in it - or a rotary... :D

Good call, it needs a higher bonnet so they can fit a V6 twin turbo.

incongruous design. the original is still the best by miles.
