incongruous design. the original is still the best by miles.

I agree. The problem with the mx5 is that today's version breaks no new ground, whereas the NA did. A new MX5 should be a fresh concept.

I did nearly 50,000km in an NA - flawed but a ground breaking car.

The NC was seriously overrated - not a driver's car at all.

Yes, the lotus elan is the best looking mx5

and by the same token the MX5 is the most reliable lotus elan

I still have my NA somewhere, waiting for a restoration that will probably never happen
