It was actually the road test track loop on top of the factory building. Cars came off the line, did a road test on the roof and were then shipped out to dealers. The building exists today, heritage protected although somewhat derelict. There is a "road" that loops around the inner walls of the building to access the roof test track. It is quite an architectural masterpiece.
