I think it would be an awesome car to own. The way these cars are made these days, the roof is excellent and makes the car like a real coupe, with very little extra weight and, reportedly, no extra (discernable) flex

What's the downside? 16m with a cloth roof is a wank IMO

We are "hard core " :) .....

Ragtops are as good as folding hardtops these days - for driving at least. The Boxster roof is fully lined and surprisingly quiet. The main advantage of the spider roof design is less turbulence in the cabin roof-down. It's more like a targa.

Drool worthy for a hairdresser spec, but personally I'd like to see a rag top with a glass bonnet. Lack of glass bonnet is a big downside on the 458 Speciale Spyder for me.

Not to mention the large panel above your head is metal anyway, its just covered in material.

Yeah, I have always thought they were ugly,  yet this new one is interesting.  However I dont see the need for it when the convertible top on the 991 is so good.

It is an exercise in pure automotive art.

Just wait to you see one in action. Absolutely stunning!!
