Yeah, it's been going around work big time.

These guys will try anything......

I also got one that looked like it came from my Superfund saying I need to login and fix some details, it supplied a link to do so in the email. The link in the email downloads Malware and other nasty crap. That one almost got me, but the email address was not the one I use for the Superfund, but it's bloody scary how they knew the Superfund I belonged to........

One of the older chaps I work with who is not so savvy with computers opened a link in the AFP email. The virus encrypted all of his files (and most likely harvested its contents too). Took a whole day for the IT dude to unwind it.

Don't know why people do this there's nothing in it for them.

You never click links unless you absolutely know the source and hold your mouse over the link and see the destination in your browser first.
Plenty of people haven't a clue and are easy targets though.

Once someone at work opened a link which triggered a virus on the entire network.  The virus was new and so evasive there was no virus definition to remove it for a few days.  It meant we were offline for a couple of days and the IT people had a few sleepless nights. :o

But the option to unsubscribe on an infringement notice seemed so genuine.

No, they always have sleepless nights, only that time they actually had to do some work not play Battlefield or Black Ops..........
