I need the cheapest option available door to door for transporting a car Syd to Melb.

FINALLY, after having wanted ads for years and years, I found the Datsun 260C that I need to recreate my first car from when I was 18.
The car is in Kingswood, Sydney. It's registered and drivable. I need it brought down to my warehouse in Melbourne.

Who can recomend the cheapest option?

Can't help you with transport, but have space here if you need it stored safely mate.

If you can't find a driver - Canberra Carways do Syd-Mel for about $400 I think. They have a depot in Altona but can arrange door to door. Used them for the EH - no problems. Will dig up cost for you...

I'd be happy for someone to drive it down, but I wouldn't be game. Remember, I paid $1,250 for this car. Mind you, it will get a full respray, V8 transplant, new leather interior, new wheels and exhaustby the time it will be finished.

Toll/Autotrans charges me door to door $640 for Perth to Melb for cars. They quoted me $840 for Syd to Melb though - WTF??

Cheapest I found so far door to door is $580.

I am just recreating my first ever car - 1977 Datsun 260C sedan, gloss black, B45 Simmons, small block V8, tinted, grey leather.
I even had the original plates that I had, re-issued by Vic roads :D
