Dark green convertible Camaro thing - why don't yank cars have a nice wanky name for "convertible"?

New one or old????

There is a rumor going around the Camaro guys that there are two "new" ones in the country and their are both rego'ed.

And one is in SA somewhere.

Not that you would care, hehe.   :p

Old - sorry I don't know enough to make a proper guess so I'll just say maybe mid-70's, but for all I know could be '65-85 - looked dam cool though, reminded me of the old PS1 game Driver.

Ah, that would be a 1968 joby.

Depending on the specs, it would be a $70k to $100k car now.

Can't guarantee it was exactly like that - just similar shape and colour to that.  Looked dam good - obviously otherwise I wouldn't have mentioned it.

It must have!!!  Not normal for you to give those Yank tanks a second look!

And they are getting so damn popular now that it's very hard to keep up supplying good ones.
So they are making brand new bodys for them.

Actually I love the 60-70's yank mussel cars - no compromise it's all about style and power, they lost a bunch of cred in the 80's with lame versions and ugly styling and didn't really claw anything back until the Viper and C6 Corvette.

Oddly enough up until I was 20-odd (now just plain odd) I lusted for a Trans-Am with a screaming chicken on the bonnet.

Cool.

Now if you promise not to laugh too hard I will show you what I am chasing to add to my Yank collection.

Well, maybe, gotta check it out lots first.

It's an Ugly bastard but I don't have much GM stuff.
