I would be in it but I have heard that orange NT dust is forever in your car after you do the drive.

Is this correct??

No, it's not correct.  I've taken 5 or more cars to Alice and the Rock and there's no red dust in them when we return.  We don't go off the bitumen.  If you pound a 4WD across the red dirt road, yes I would say you'd end up with a car full of dust.

Sealed roads all the way. Never had any dust issues.
