It happens to all Ferraris eventually. Same thing happened on my F50. Spent a fortune on new switch gear and 4 years later it was starting again.

the lowest tender in plastics, noticed in the 575, new-the car was a near on 600k, you'd expect better quality materials, but Enzo's motto was simple, you pay for the engine and get the rest for free.
Meeting women on the Internet? Remember, the more similarities u “magically” have, & the more she agrees with u, the fucking crazier she is.

Yeah... I did it myself too, and recoated with plastidip.  If I were doing it today, however, is just seems the car to Bill at leather creations in Richmond Victoria

I think the problem started with the 355, haven't heard of 348's having an issue

My 348 did it.

Pretty sure the soft feel plastics started in the 348. My 328  hadhard plastic switches and no problems.

Please pardon my ignorance of the but what is the actual cause of the issue?  Are the cheap plastic switches reacting to the heat in the cabin? Or over time the glue is becoming more viscuous?

Same on Gallardos, same on many Porsches, same on all ferrari's post 348.

We did a trial run of 3d metal printing switches for the Gallardo and they were great. It's possible now to do a titanium cover for buttons that's a fraction of a millimetre thick, which would be an easy DIY stick on project.

One more bit of work I'm yet to get finished!!
C'mon, do it!
