Tesla strikes again. After the crazy debate of what name will be appointed to their new car, a Tesla Executive said to the press that the new car will not carry the name E (as previously hinted by him), but it will be named 3. By now, we all know that Ford wanted to sue Tesla for naming their new model with the letter E. Noone knows why, and we can all assume that Ford did not want the letter E on the backside of a new Tesla vehicle because of their commercial vans named the E-series. That is the only logical explanation. - See more at: http://v8.autorgy.com/motor-trends/blog/car-news/tesla-model-3#sthash.e5Pjkbpx.dpuf

 Quite   interesting .;)
In an interview with British based motoring publication AutoExpress, Elon Musk said:  “We were going to call it model E for a while and then Ford sued us saying it wanted to use the Model E – I thought this is crazy, Ford’s trying to kill sex! We had the model S for sedan and X for crossover SUV, then a friend asked what we were going to call the third car, so I said we had the model S and X, we might as well have the E.” A few days after this interview, Tesla Motor Corporation issued a tweet saying that “Our Gen III car, due out after Model X, will be named Model 3.”

I assume Mazda are calling their lawyers as we speak...
The general public is a terrible barometer of taste. Trust your own sensibilities.

Looks a bit Jaguarish. I quite like that...

How many years before we are away from fuel and driving mostly electric?

It is unusual that Tesla wants to release a new car short after the introduction of the Model X. The large SUV is scheduled to come to the market in late 2014 or early 2015, while the first production ready prototype of the Model 3, will, reportedly, be introduced in the first half of 2015. - See more at: http://v8.autorgy.com/motor-trends/blog/car-news/tesla-model-3#sthash.0PANQRf1.dpuf

If their past record is anything to go by it will be delayed, then delayed, then delayed again, and most likely delayed after that too.

I think the Model X was originally slated to be released almost a year ago.
