I was only having some fun when I said we should go LHD here in Australia but what if we did???

It would open out a lot more cars that we could get access to. We wouldn't have to wait so long to get the cars for one thing........

Yes it would be a nightmare to do but as Looney said:

It would be a great govt spending boon to stimulate the economy if nothing else.

Thought??? How would we get the ball rolling to lobby the Government to even look at it????

It would be a cluster#uck at first no doubt. But the way i would see it.

Announce a change 2 years prior.
Commence sale of lhd cars
Commence changes to roads and intersection signage
Plan major updates to major intersections for changeover date.
On changeover date put a moritorium on driving for 7 days (with permitted exceptions) while round the clock updates are made to major intersections.
Once roads are re-opened impose slower speed limits for 90 days for people to adjust.

I think it could be doable, but the govt would need to fund some major $$$ to do it.  Could be something to consider when our economy eventually collapses.

Think of the jobs it would create.
