So...what was the point of starting this thread, Rob? You clearly have no interest in having anything to do with the VHRR. Who are you trying to impress?
Since when did the VHRR run meetings in QLD? Starting the thread....to buy a Group Q/R car and let a young  guy drive it .

As I've said before those that I had the disagreement with at the VHRR are long gone, most are dead or about to have that last turn of  dirt placed over them. :D

So you're ok with VHRR now? Fair enough. You should probably send them an apology lol

Guess so about 20 friends on Stalkbook that are long time VHRR members, and I've often been asked to get back into Historic racing by a few of the "named members " including the the Presidents son.

and invited to the mid week drives and lunch at their club rooms. ;)

my issue was always with several people who twisted the truth re what cars could run and then turned and ran,was their loss as i gave a lot to the VHRR, including drives to others, sponsorship, trophies and articles in my own way for the magazine and served on the committee for many years.

gotta say it, I find formula vees a real turn off at an historic meeting ,along with the regularity runs, all its doing is putting money into the coffers of the club running the meeting and thus less race time for the cars that matter.

For years, a mate has been saying that the Vees race should be split into odd and even numbers, with the odds going clockwise and the evens counter clockwise, just to liven things up. The assembled throng agreed the idea had some merit, especially as the beers kicked in.
