Managed to organize a small cruise today. 10 mins into the drive we got pulled over by the cops for a drug and booze test, which we all passed with flying colors. The coppers were friendly and the one who tested me was just interested to go home... it was hot..

So there was me in the Porsche 997 Turbo, a guy that MHH introduced to me recently in a F430 and his friend in an Audi R8 V8. We covered a few kms, traffice was heavy in some areas but overall a truly enjoyable run.

I think I need to spend a bit of time in the Porsche on the track soon. The handling and power of it is just amazing. I was going through the corners a fair bit quicker than I did in the M5, and the car still had a lot more to offer.. I'll cover my thoughts on this in a seperate post later.. have to rush off to a photoshoot with dkebabs!

Sorry I couldn't make it. I did the drive to Melbourne with a killer hangover instead.

The F430 guy is probably eewink - a lurker here and probably the most spotted Ferrari in Adelaide - met him on the Solitaire drive day where I was forced to drive Aston Martins cos he doesn't do manuals.
