I'm planning to run in my new Porker by doing Adelaide to Melbourne and back on the first weekend in September. Any route suggestions that include the best of the GOR? Google map ideas most welcome.

Any accident black spot areas* to look out for?

* if you know what I mean. ;)

to run in a Porsche, you'll need to do about 12,000 km

I guess you'll have to go CLOCKWISE around Australia!

20,000 km is the rough number but you can easily add another 5,000 if you take a few detours off the main roads.

Ive "only" got Port Hedland to Port Lincoln to do eventually  :)

Do you plan to take in the sights or just do a flying run?

Check out the car museum in Portland and the WW2 display at the old water tower.

Don't stay at apollo 169 at apollo bay unless it is finished, we stayed there because it was the only place we could ind with underground parking as it was thunder/hailing. It was new but nothing worked etc.

Get a photo of your car at the sign that says 50km twisties :D

PA, did you use Google Maps to track the route?
How did you track your route in areas of no mobile reception?
