Amazing range of old cars, even looked like a an old Vauxhal Victor going well over the top of the hill and a 57 Cuso at one point.

Pretty sure it's a 58 Cuso

Also did a quick google maps search and found the private road mentioned in the Ferrari magazine article, off Bames Road just north of where it intersects George Downes Drive in Kulnura. Looks like a great 'road' or click this: http://maps.google.com.au/maps?q=Kulnura&hl=en&ll=-33.267183,151.239896&spn=0.006818,0.013797&sll=-25.324167,118.916016&sspn=29.919217,90&vpsrc=6&hnear=Kulnura+New+South+Wales&t=h&z=16

Can't go past the Putty road from Windsor to the back of the Hunter...some very high speed sweeping bends then 20kms of very tight mountain and gully driving. I strapped a set of r-specs on my turbo recently and nearly didn't make it back ;)
Only do it early on a weekday and get out the radar detector if you don't want to make the Channel 9 news for trebling the speed limit.

Also if you like horse riding, have a lash along the Megalong Valley mountain drive en route.

I have come back and watched this a few times and shared it with a few friends and everyone is just gobsmacked.
How did the likes of Dick Johnstone, Glen Seton, John Bowe etc drive those monsters for lap after lap.
Just awesome

Great driving roads...  can you believe I found one in Mauritius?!?  Keeping in mind that the island is smaller than the ACT, but with 1.3 million people, the chances were slim.

Check out the twisties I've highlighted.  Beautiful smooth new surface too.  The downsides are a few steep drops with no railing.  But you know, you just drive to the conditions, right?  :)

Minimal locals use the road, and those that do will be going significantly slower than anyone reading this post.   :D

Just a shame that only shit cars are easily available for hire.  But I probably need to go back there soon, so I'll try to arrange something a bit better in advance next time.
