That explains it. AAMI have the worst rep for payouts. The woman that rear ended me was with AAMI. AAMI sued Lumley over my claim saying that it couldn't possibly cost so much to repair. AAMI lost.

They also own underwrite for 'Just Cars'.

The problem with the industry that the average person doesn't know is that there are only handful of underwriters or insurers ie Royal Sun, Lumley, IAG these parent companies have various companies with other names ie Jst Cars, Shannons etc etc..... so what happens when a claim happens against in an accident when one party is with AAMI and the other party is with Shannons and they both claim not at fault?? does the customer get the best support when the final entity is actually one and the same and it becomes an internal negotiation between different teams........ IMO its a major issue.......
