The best way to survive is by pulling the headrest out of the seat and use that sharp end to break either the front or rear glass.
It won't really work on side windows.

Wouldn't the ignition be off once you hit the water ?

Only if you turn it off. 12v electrics keep working till the battery discharges, happens quicker in salt water than fresh.
Electric motors work under water. i'm only taking about the few minutes you need to escape.

Hmm no my Blackhawk had sliding doors, must have been a different model.
Only choper you can take a 10g hit and maybe still be able to walk out of (seats collapse to protect spine).
Unfortunately they often hit that hard when things go wrong!!

Luckily not built to jeeps wonderful standard of quality and workmanship.

Although we did  have to jumpstart one once, but thats another story.
